Rembering days of danceby BryantComment: A very sensual shot, and the form really captures the models beauty, and the splash of light picks out the ballet shoes well. But I'm in two minds as to whether the nudity is necessary? I'm worried it seems to overpower the shoes which end up seeming tacked onto the composition rather than the focus of it. 7 |

The Interviewby SkipComment: Just a bunch of legs belonging to some people milling about waiting for a race rather than any sort of interview it looks like I'm afraid. |

Killer Heelsby nidnodComment: The composition is awkward and too contrived for no apparent reason. A more cnadid shot of the heels actually killing something would have been more effective. |

Glide Across the Iceby KonadorComment: Not so much a shot of the skates as a snapshot of a skater I'm afraid. If you went down to the ice and asked nicely he may even have let you get some good closeups or action shots of the skates skidding to a halt or something. |

Football Shoesby eaglebeckComment: Just seems kind of random. if you had picked a more uniform situation like a line-out for eg and then looked for one shoe 'out of place' as it were, or doing something different, then the sport theme in this shot would have been much more powerful. Or if the randomness was what you definitely wanted, then a pile of bodies after a big tackle with shoes sticking in the air and all over perhaps? |

Kenneth Cole, New Yorkby banmornComment: I love the complemantary textures and colours in this shot. Even the skewed composition adds to this cohesion of strong elements. |

backseatby dragonladyComment: Good DOF, contrast, textures, and composition. I'd have liked to see the pose slightly changed with the feet crossed, but that's kinda nitpicking. 9 |

An Artist's Shoesby cyanComment: The predominantly white composition seems to have made the camera underexpose slightly. Opening the aperture up a stop or two would have brought out the brillance of the white letting the colours stand out more and helped the effect of the shoes as a Jackson Pollock canvas you were after. I like this little study. |

"Laces"by tfarrell23Comment: A very effective little study of laces going on over on the right, and I love the textures and form. I feel the other boot takes away from this and could be removed entirely or somehow reflect the laces on that boot with those in the foreground. |
