A very sensual shot, and the form really captures the models beauty, and the splash of light picks out the ballet shoes well. But I'm in two minds as to whether the nudity is necessary? I'm worried it seems to overpower the shoes which end up seeming tacked onto the composition rather than the focus of it. 7

Nice idea. I think the challenge would be better presented with a close up crop of just her feet, and maybe part of the derriere.

this is not a nude challenge.i feel like maybe u tried to use sexuality to score high.but it could be just me.u should have foucused on the shoes more i think....

I don't like the lighting or color in this, it's not adding anything to draw attention to your subject .

Hmmm... shoes? what shoes??

Hmm, what kind of dancer was she? :)

I like the blue/purple tint to the picture, and that the shoes are the brightest point, really draws your attention.

However, I am not sure about the hair on the back. Maybe if it was pulled back so you couldn't see it? The way it is looks more natural, but I think the line of her back would echo the angle of the back of her thigh, which would be cool.

Very subtle. The lighting and the toning are both superb. I like the composition and the transition from dark to light across the picture. There's an overall melancholy feel which works really well. Bumping up to 9. Then again, 10 ;)

i dont think in anyway that the nudity in this photo contributes to anything. i wish the person wasnt as visible and that the shoes were.

nice shot

Interesting picture. I don't see the point in the lady being naked, but then again I don't understand alot of things. I think the lighting is good, and the colors too. I might've liked it more if the shoes were more in focus, nice photo though.

Hmmmm ... nude ballet. Must have been an interesting pas de deux
08/31/2005 02:38:20 PM
why is she naked?

Great concept, I just with it was not so soft. Also a bit more fill light in the front near the fact would have helped. I realize that you were were going for more light in the back to emphasize the shoes, but I don't think it is needed and still would have drawn the viewers attention there with even light across the image. Still a great idea and nice pic.

leftover from the nude challenge? it took me a while to see the shoes but all is not lost... maybe more of the shoe and less of the girl? just my honest opinion here...

why remember...why not still do? I do.
