Shot several shoe store window displays on my way home last night, Thom McAn, Aerosole, Cole Hahn, Puma, amongst others. Finally decided the best was this from the window of the Kenneth Cole store.

I love the complemantary textures and colours in this shot. Even the skewed composition adds to this cohesion of strong elements.

Im guessing people dont like the tilt. but on this shot to me it gives well a neat slant on the subject accenting how heels change angles

I am not sure about this picture. The background seems too busy for such a busy shoe. Maybe just a plain beige cloth draped in the background?

The left shoe gets lost in the background since they are the same colors.

Interesting setting for your shoes. Thoughtfully chosen.

The background is far too busy for these shoes. The shoes themselves have so much detail - the many skinny straps, plus the patterns ON those straps, heel, colors etc. A calm surface and background would let the shoes stand out a lot more.

Nice shot, but the background is a bit too distracting.

I LOVE THE SHOES!!!! Not the point though...Nice play with the color combination. The angle is also pretty neat.

I like how the whole setup is. Its like a busy place where everything is nonstop.

Looks like too much going on in the shot. Nice shoes but if you placed them with a plain background or even a plain single colored surface they would show up better and not blend in so much.

Nice, IMO not far from being in a good enough quality to be in a commercial, I like the lighting. 7 from me.

Looks like a window display, and as a window display I'm sure it gets lots of attention but as a photograph, well it's quite busy. The colours go really well together and the lighting is well executed too but like I said the papers just doesn't seem to belong in this picture. And I still stand beside my belief that this is a window display :P

This has a very advertisement feel to it. The horizontal lines work here. I like it. 8
