Day-16.jpgby joynimComment: Nice shot of Joyah, Charlie. When I start with an overlay that has portions that I know will obstruct the main image, I use either the clone tool or the healing brush to alter it before applying it to the image. (I also save a copy of it in the altered form if it's one that I know I'll use again, especially if the editing took a while.) If you've already applied the overlay, you can still edit out the unwanted areas by selecting just the layer that you'll be working on, and perhaps clicking off other layers to better see what you're doing. Hope this helps. :)

Gourdonby LevTComment: Subtley, sumptuously, captures the flavor of the region. The light and the colors are beautiful. |

day 17. feb 08 overlays. reflectionsby rozComment: I like the sense of action here with Katee's positioning and expression, as well as the water splashing up as she runs through. The grunge layer gives the story a dangerous edge. |

Beastby AliciaComment: The myriad of possibilities makes this intriguing. I especially like the silvery, underwater effect. Message edited by author 2008-02-17 11:49:05. |

wish you were hereby AliciaComment: I really like the original image here and I'd be interested in seeing other versions with the overlays dominating somewhat less. I like what you've done with the texture, but I think that the underlying image gets a bit overwhelmed by it. The small figures on the beach are great. |
