Low fog in the twilight by OdieComment: 9 - That's pretty gorgeous. Really like the balance - minor, but the river bottom right seemingly 'disconnected' at this size (could be there full size) is my only real nit-pick. Visually, maybe a whisker up on the right for perspective, who knows... beautiful scene and image. |

The Lake Houseby NikonJebComment: 7 - Make a lovely print on a wall. Looks like some minor issues going on in the black areas, but could be my monitor - apologies if so. |

life & death in miniatureby rozComment: 7 - Amazing detail and capture. I am a big fan of strong saturation and color tweaking, but the colors on this seem unnatural.. yet not 'distorted', if that makes any sense. The textural 'depth', or rather 'feel', seems lost - hard to explain.. could be neat image, don't know - having said that, could be intentional (including the coloring), if so, my apologies. 'If only' the fore legs and wing(s) in focus too and not 'chopped', but that is really nit picking - I know how difficult these shots are (and have not taken anything even close to this) - including trying to process them. Well done. |

number 3 - originalby KelliComment: I like the colors in this one better and seems there is a little more detail discernible too. |

Lionby oosieooComment: Another unique image. Again, can't help but wonder about some tweaking in pp - depends what you had to work with (not sure if your camera can shoot RAW or not too..). Those are some nasty fat looking ticks there. |

Buffaloby oosieooComment: Unique image. Shame all the shadow is not in. Wonder about tweaking this in pp - looks like a lot of variations would create other unusual images. You certainly sound like you have one of the best opportunities to take photos in this (and other) wildlife parks/reserves. |

Waiting for....by salmiakkiComment: 6 - ..the cows to come home, or could be the sheep, or the goats - either way, like the 'old country' feel to this and especially like the dogs. |

Watch me!by photomill31Comment: 1 - (edited) - if you wanted to submit this style of image, perhaps trying to show more motion, creating an artistic effect with it, learning the technicals involved in producing a good motion blur image (past Challenges and the Forums can be a big help (or of course, searching the internet)), paying attention to the surrounds within the frame/image to ensure they do not distract from the subject(s), etc. As for using this image as is, perhaps a crop variation and some pp (post processing (GIMP is like Photoshop and free) effects may have given this a little extra, who knows... The themed Challenges are a good way to learn, if you are wanting to create photographs that will bring more impact to the viewer. |
