Granular Gardenby BlackDotComment: Nice play on a Zen rock garden! The lighting's a bit stark and I think it would have been better to have the lower right edge of the second rose as the focal point rather than the base of the flowers. |

Salt N' Peppaby renonovadoComment: Neat concept, and the background colour rocks, but I don't understand the point of the bowl. Also, the shot seems a wee bit out of focus. |

wind, sand & silenceby whiteroomComment: Looks like a candid shot, and a nice one, too! Is she just amusing herself or is her face painted for an occaision? I like the out-of-focus beach and the fact that this shot is in sepia. She's well-centred, but I would have left more on the bottom. It looks a bit odd without her chin there. |

the edgeby ursulaComment: This shot has such a serene feeling, and I really like the cropping and tones. This is beach flotsam at it's best. |

Toxicby Horsie GirlComment: Neat shot! I like how you've left more white on the right to compliment the spill's concentration on that side. There's a smudge in the lower left that doesn't belong, and it might have more impact having a portrait layout with similar left and right margins to what you have. |

Brown Sugar Fallingby carodaniComment: Visually interesting, but I don't like that the upper left corner is pretty much the only section out of focus. IMO it would have more impact with grains throughout the whole image out of the DOF. |

washed ashoreby saintaugustComment: I have to say good try! I like that it's in greyscale, and the bottle being full of sand and shells is neat, but the bottle resting atop a big scallop shell is a little much. Also I think the shot would have had more impact if the bottle was pretty beat up, though not everyone wants to mangle their bathroom decor :P |

On Grains of Sandby ShadowfaxComment: Nice macro! A very nifty looking little critter, too. The lighting's not quite right to capture the small details, but it is a visually interesting shot. |

Grainy grains of riceby greslizzzComment: Now that's some neat processing! I love the concept and lighting, just a little disappointed that the foreground portion of the hand is so non-existent. |
