Honestly, I am having trouble seeing desolation. In other words is it half full, or half empty. I can not tell. So, I'll give it to ya.

An amazing image. Excellent comp, excellent movement, excellent lines, blacks a bit too deep, and whites barely in because of this technicallity not perfect, minimalistic feel, great lighting, excellent texture, maybe a bit soft on the right hand shadowed area but not disturbingly,

comp needs work, nice lines, duotone interesting, power lines distracting, light poles distracting, blacks a bit too deep, whites not there, light could be better, dof ok but a bit blurred in bg.

The first thing that strikes me about this image is that it is way too dark.

comp ok, blacks too deep, whites just not there. In a b&w pix, to be convincing, you need to have texture in your pure blacks and pure whites. Overall, it is hard for me to give a proper critique on the lighting, dof and texture due to the underexposed image.

Always take the time to experiment with exposure even if it takes a couple of days to get it right.

These challenges are not a race to see who can upload an image first, but to see who has a handle on their forethought, and settings of the machine.
