An amazing image. Excellent comp, excellent movement, excellent lines, blacks a bit too deep, and whites barely in because of this technicallity not perfect, minimalistic feel, great lighting, excellent texture, maybe a bit soft on the right hand shadowed area but not disturbingly, | Photographer found comment helpful. |

I can see great things comming from you. This DQ should only be viewed as a minor setback.
I would think the next time you leave behind any submissions in the future, that you have a plan to qualify future requests from SC.
Good luck in the future. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

comp needs work, nice lines, duotone interesting, power lines distracting, light poles distracting, blacks a bit too deep, whites not there, light could be better, dof ok but a bit blurred in bg. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

comp nice, good movement, color flat and over bright, blacks not bad, whites blown, ok texture, sharp enough, light flat, | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 06/19/2006 04:09:53 PM | Desolationby cp5140Comment: The first thing that strikes me about this image is that it is way too dark.
comp ok, blacks too deep, whites just not there. In a b&w pix, to be convincing, you need to have texture in your pure blacks and pure whites. Overall, it is hard for me to give a proper critique on the lighting, dof and texture due to the underexposed image.
Always take the time to experiment with exposure even if it takes a couple of days to get it right.
These challenges are not a race to see who can upload an image first, but to see who has a handle on their forethought, and settings of the machine. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

*bleakness: a bleak and desolate atmosphere; "the nakedness of the landscape"
*forlornness: sadness resulting from being forsaken or abandoned
*devastation: an event that results in total destruction | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Nice comp, nice dof, blacks too deep, whites ok, nice light, minimalistic, nice movement, I get a feel of freedom and openness rather than destitute. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
