Fall's Sunset: Part from the past?by postitComment: I would really like this shot if it werent in the rearview mirror. I've seen quite a few of these (rearview mirror) shots and I just don't understand the appeal. I especially don't like the car in the background or the white line under the mirror. |

Way too hotby mtreitComment: One thing I like in this photo is the dazzling effect on the car windshield in the distance. Something about the focus (or lack thereof) detracts from the effect. I do like how long the path streches out...helps emphasize a long hot day. |

Vegetation Stationby pupparazzoComment: I think if you focused more on the grill it would help. The background is kind of ugly with the dying flowers. I think the coals are the strong point, you might have tried to highlight them more. Perhaps a lower camera angle as well. |

The Fallby bcvieiraComment: I don\'t quite get what this has to do with seasons. It\'s probably too clever for me. :) |

lonely roadsby magnetic9999Comment: I love the subdued feel of this picture. The graniness actually works here pretty well. |

Final Sunset by rcrawfordComment: Wonderful colors and sense of desolation. Great lighting as well. There appear to be some signs of civilization in the bottom right which diminish the "desolation" aspect. Even so this was one of my top picks this week. |

Meerschaumby mtreitComment: I really like the lighting and contrast of the bowl.
I"m not sure everyone will 'get' that this is a pipe. It took me a second to figure out what it is. I'd be interested to see it shot landscape instead of portrait and perhaps be able to see inside the pipe bowl. With landscape orientation I might have tried placing the pipe diagonally as well. |

Picnic’s Cancelledby DiversqComment: I think the subject is the picnic table, so the negative space is the grass around the table which isn't nearly as interesting as the sky. I don't see the sky as "negative space" because it's not what surrounds the subject. |
