From the porchby aliquiComment: Powerful feelings! I'm stuck on your porch. I'm not sure I can make it down your stairs but I can see clearly what I am missing in the distance. The sharp branch on the tree coming in from the right adds a note of mystery to the image; it just floats there without a visible means of support.

Refreshmentsby GermaineComment: I see this as being about the bicycle (in spite of the title). It harks back to a time when most kids had "American" bikes which they used to ride around the town. Now I see mostly 10-speeds and mountain bikes--with big locks to keep them from being stolen. Very nostalgic!

Bluebellby PaulComment: A tiny bluebell shines forth from among the bigger and brighter blooms. |

Rasa Sentosaby RetroesqueComment: I love the swish of windows across the image. My first reaction was that it was too light--but I'm warming up to it. I like the delicate gradations of tones created by the lightness.
I also looked at it as a negative image. I usually don't like reversed images but in this case it made your image look like a night shot with light coming in the windows and illuminating the railings.

Swanginby Art RoflmaoComment: The moment you've captured is the moment of stillness at the top of the swing, but as the others have commented, the Lensbaby allows you to express the dynamic movement in the action. |

ubique and I are starting a non-photographer's club. You are NOT invited. |
I'd like to join!
On my business card I call myself an artist rather than a photographer.
This was one of my favorites in this FS.

Hollandaise soonby bob350Comment: Beautiful. The shape of the egg is echoed by the pan below and the black/yellow combination is great. |

Yellow Flowersby bvyComment: There are lots of yellow flowers here. The blur in this image reduces the "flowerness" and puts the emphasis on the color. Very nice. |
