|Well, stock photography isn't exactly easy, as I found out that no laboratories are as clean or organized as they appear in the stock photos.
This was taken at the department of Imunology at Santa Maria hospital, in Lisbon, Portugal.
A friend of mine works there, so immediately I thought it would be a great idea to get a picture of her in the midst of all the scientific equipment.
She works with lab rats, and cell counts, and microscopic cultures, and one of the warnings I got as soon as I walked in was "Don't touch anything! Either it kills you or you kill it!".
Relaxing, isn't it?
So I looked like a kid with the chemist set, a lot of vials, bottles, seringes, etc. All of different colours, formats and biohazard signs (ok-kay, I won't touch it :-P)
We tried several ideas, but in the end the tradicional setup won, and we used several coloured liquids to get the final result.
This was shot at f/1.4 to get a razor thin DOF, and then I had to clean a gazillion drops form all vials and jars, thank God for the healing brush tool.
Then it was just tewaking the colours, saturation, and overall sharpen.
Tried a funny title to lighten the mood. Should end up in the high 5's, low 6's.
