Dahliaby KazComment: This is such a striking black and white - I think it would be something quite ordinary in colour but this treatment just lifts the image so much. I am not sure about the composition - the exact positioning of the flower within the frame. 7, Kavey |

Runnerby lionelmComment: A great shot - such an unusual perspective and I like the fat arrow head shape it leaves in the background. My only minor nitpick is the way the blowout on the white means the lace is kind of hard to see and therefore looks almost like dirt spots on the image. A great crop and composition. 8, Kavey |

Firesideby inspzilComment: Atmospheric and the darkness portrays that feeling at campfires, when the scary stories are being shared, and the fire represents safety from the uknown terrors in the darkness. A little too grainy and soft focus for my tastes. 6, Kavey |

Desktop Sunby ManicComment: The deep blackness surrounding the light and the way it only illuminates it's own base and the area directly below it makes this quite an atmospheric shot. Personally I'd like the extra space to be at the right rather than left of the frame, and I am not sure I like the very yellow colour tone, this coming from someone whose favourite colour is yellow. I also find the refleftions in the base distracting, I am trying to work out what they are - that draws me away from the object itself. I realise this may be deliberate. 5, Kavey |

UFO by indigo997Comment: The colours in this are simply stunning - that cobalt blue against the orangey yellow with the white trails... This would be an 8 for me if the white and blue marks at the top left were cleaned, which I appreciate you can't spot edit for DPC entries, but have no doubt already done for your own master copy? I also like the composition very much. 7, Kavey |

Out of the Blue by JeanComment: Very striking and the shape left in the blue is intriguing. I'd score it higher but I don't find the expression on his face as he holds his breath appealing. it's more an image that I find fascinating that appealing, though that's not explaining it very well. I'll try come back and clarify that a little if I can. 8, kavey |

bird on a wireby FranziskaLangComment: The positioning of the diagonals and the bird in the frame are absolutely spot on perfect. The colours are a little bland but that probably adds to the simplicity. 8, Kavey |

Swansby sulamkComment: The shapes formed by these two objects mirroring each other are interesting. I find the contrast too high for my liking and the objects too black. 7, Kavey |
