This is such a striking black and white - I think it would be something quite ordinary in colour but this treatment just lifts the image so much. I am not sure about the composition - the exact positioning of the flower within the frame.

Very prominent negative space in this photo, outlining the shapes of the flower. Nicely done.

Very nice. I think had you lowered the flower and showed less stem it might even stand out more.

very nice use of black and white! the background seems a little splotchy or something. like it more as a black and white then a negative space though

Great use of negative space. Almost a 10, but for the blown highlights.

I like the simplicity and teh black and white. I think it might have worked well to have the flower further down in the frame as well. karmat

beautiful :) I'm giving this photo a 10 even though i have a critique... the uneven lighting on the flower seems just a bit odd for me... however, the overall wow factor on this photo is quite impressive. I'm glad you chose black and white also :) = 10 - jmsetzler

I predict high placement for this one. It's slightly blown out (VERY slightly), but that has the effect of smoothing the highlights. My only real issues are that it could be a TAD sharper, and the shadowing of the rear petals is unfortunate. You get a 9 anyway.

Stunning ! Oh if only the right petal wasn't cropped (I know only 2 or pixels of it :-) 8

Beautiful! I would call this flawless except for the very tiny cropping of the longest petal on the right. 9 - joanns
