On Her Ownby ergoComment: Nice lines which are emphasised by the greyscaling but I find the tone colour far too yellowey. Great subject choice - works well. 8 |

Going My Wayby bucketComment: At first glance, oh another kid, but oh what a compelling portrait. I just can't look away. There's some kind of connection in that eye contact and the pose and coloured dress against the muted colours of the long path behind all combine to make this pop out at me. 8 |

Nature photographer by heidaComment: Excellent shot. I really like the way the clouds and areas of sky create such strong leadig lines. I like the silhouette of the photographer and the way he is against the white cloud rather than blue sky. I like the detail and colour in the foreground brash ice. I like the edge formed by the dark gravel/ pebbles and how it's echoed by the sky getting darker at the top. I also identify with how this relates to the theme as it reminds me of the thrill of taking images on a recent dream trip to Antarctica. Great shot. 9 |

flying freeby ursulaComment: Love this. It's so utterly about the theme to me - it resonates with how I like to see myself and my outlook on life. The motion blur and colours are great as is the light on her face and arms and the composition. 9 |

Above the Cloudsby bryanbrazilComment: A particularly appealing cloudscape with lovely shapes, a pleasing composition, some nice shades of grey and blue and a nice clean feel. 8 |

The Last Stanceby CamComment: Toooo funny... I think this is very well done. Annoyingly (because I don't want to nitpick) my eye keeps getting pulled to the dark beans at the bottom left corner and that darkness kind of weighs down in the corner of my eye even when I focus elsewhere. Still an 8 though! |

The Getawayby CoozComment: Intriguing, especially with her face hidden in the shadow ... yet that works as it makes it more anonymous and therefore more universal. I like the diagonal and the unusual lighting. 8 |

Walking my own wayby eirasiComment: Wonderful image that represents a range of related concepts so simply and minimally. I find it a touch dark towards the left side of the frame and the crop at the top a touch tight (if that's to exclude unwanted objects perhaps cropping tighter still might strangely make it feel less tightly cropped?) but overall I think it's lovely. 8 |

Hang on!by MikeOComment: Wonderful image, lovely lines, lovely light and shade shapes, great detail, nice limited colour palette and the abseiler (?) makes a great focal point. 9 |
