Silencio by kiwinessComment: Lovely shot - it works that she's looking out of the image. I like the way she's clearly detailed but that we also have detail on the scene outside in the other three panes. And it's an interesting scene too and the composition of what we see in each pane adds up well. I think this is just great. |

sunriseby StagoleeComment: Sweet, romantic, simple, lovely light. For me it's a shame their heads are a little lost against the dark line of the land. Would they have falled against the water if you had stood on a stool? Or would that have introduced something else into the shot that would have spoiled it? Just a thought. Nice though. |

Window of Faithby angela_packardComment: I like this a lot - the problem for me is that the front of her face coincides with one of the vertical struts - would shifting your position a touch have resolved that at all or maybe not. Also, I'm not so keen on the composition. Nice lighting, colour and idea though. |

Touching the Cloudsby Nikolai1024Comment: This is one of the best entries in terms of making the window really integral to the shot - rather than included as a border/ frame or just to meet the challenge. I like how one window showcases the view and the other silhouettes the people who are looking at it. Colours are lovely, lighting is great. It looks oversharpened to me though perhaps that's just haloing from the light. |

the spyby gastonComment: Love the colours, the textures of the worn surfaces and the door behind the window. Something about the edges of the window feel way too soft - the detail isn't there and it feels kind of odd. I like the partly hidden pose though it's a little forced. |

Rainy Dayby phylsy7Comment: I like the way that the frame adds to the scene outside. Whether it reflects the reality or not, the window suggests a separation of the person on the right from the group on the left, which is rather interesting. Black and white is a good choice too. |

Inside looking out. Outside looking in.by front_elementComment: This is great - too many of the entries here include windows for the sake of meeting the challenge - they aren't integral to the image and, in many cases, add little or nothing to it. This one is different - not only do I love the depth of field choice and the unusual composition, I like the subject too - it just WORKS! |

As Life Passes by ArtysteComment: This one stood out for me when I skimmed through some of the entries yesterday... it's charming. I really love the way the light falls on her face and hair and just gives her a golden halo. I like her pose in the window and the hint of a smile on her face. I love that I don't know what she's looking at but want to know. I love the out-of-focus background - lovely colours and shapes but lack of detail is just right. I like the framing of the window and the flowers at the top. Only thing I don't like is lack of closure of frame at top of the shot... But this is a GREAT shot! |
