Flying offby WobbleComment: A lovely wee visual bon mot that tests the limits of photography (to say nothing of the limits of the voters here). 9. |

Birthby freakin_hilariousComment: This is very compelling. Literally it's a root system I think; certainly some part of a plant. But it suggests something else entirely. It promises, it hints, but it is ultimately just slightly out of reach. Birth is a good start, but not the whole story. |

Santa Feby BalkoComment: This is nearly beautiful. There's something discordant, and I think it's the top of the iron gate. Otherwise the light and the shapes are lovely. I don't suppose it was practical to remove the gate however. Pity. |

windowby GinaRothfelsComment: I'm a sucker for window shots. The light at windows is nearly always wonderful. Like this. |

Duneby ChinarosepetalComment: Quite beautiful. This grass looks a bit like the hair of a scruffy dog, but if I push that idea aside it's a lovely atmospheric image. |

Apocalypticaby cmtcComment: Such an unusual sentiment to brand your skin with ... presumably it's a declaration of affection, punctuated by an armpit; very classy. It's a nicely-made photograph although of no apparent substance beyond that. |

Oohhhmmmmby MelethiaComment: I nearly always like portraits with eyes closed ... the good ones seem to liberate the subject, and give the viewer so much more scope for imagination. This is a good one. |

The Smokerby lifeafter2amComment: This is nice; very simple and yet all the more striking for that lack of pretension. I know that sounds contradictory, or counterintuitive or something like that, but what I'm trying to say is that I admire the fact that you have not tried to impose the photographer on the photograph by reaching for some more 'artistic' execution of it, both during and after the exposure. It's a level of restraint that we could all profit from emulating. |

The Gatheringby jbsmithanaComment: It's graphically very pleasing, this shot. All those lovely horizontal layers. So even if you view it from too far away to be sure what it is, it still looks interesting. |

Shift Changeby Art RoflmaoComment: You must have posted this once before, because I'm sure I commented on it way back then. Maybe I just meant to do so; good intentions. That's really what this pic is about, isn't it? Good intentions, and how to make them dance. |
