drifting awayby myceliumComment: Smoke bomb eh? ;^) Clever! Notice it didn't chase that fly (lower middle) off.
Yep. Looks like this lens works just fine, at least with the right photog behind the camera. ;^) |

scub1.jpgby dahkotaComment: I like this one too! Good color and detail. What I like the most about this one is you can get a sense of what this cub is going to look like when it grows up. There is youth in size and overall expression, yet an intensity also. Not sure how to explain it.
Sometimes I "talk" too much. ;^)
Thanks for sharing these. |

scub6.jpgby dahkotaComment: Love the expression on the cubs face! ;^)
Something about this one seems overprocessed. A little too contrasty and sharp I think. Cute nonetheless! |

Oxidation of Iron: Fe » Fe²+ + 2e¯by DrAchooComment: I wish the focus on this was deeper. I really like the approach you took for this challenge - it's original. Having foreground and background blur in this doesn't seem to quite work right. I hate to mention anything to do with angles when not familiar with the scene, but here goes anyway. ;^) Did you consider moving a little to the left to get that foreground object out of the way? Even if you could have gotten in tighter to just capture the chain, sprocket, and plate it would have gotten the message across. JMO of course.
Sorry for rambling. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

Double Breakby timfythetooComment: Wow! I was going thru some images taken with the Sigma 18-125 lens and just had to say this image ZINGS! The fireworks just come at you like they're 3D or something.
...or maybe I'm just trying to talk myself into this lens. ;^)
Seriously, very nice capture. |

In Memory ofby jenesisComment: Had to come back to get the rest of the story. Very glad I did.
This is a powerful image, and a wonderful story and tribute to your grandfather. Thanks for sharing. ;^) |

Why Meby jmritzComment: That's a very strange and unique tree. Certainly the main subject, although the image IS quite busy and it's hard to tell where the main tree starts and ends. Seeing a green haze around the top and can't tell if it's something from post-processing or part of the tree(s)?
Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

The lonely Bushby GunnsiComment: Hmmm. Is there something more to the story here? Anything being implied with the proper case Bush in your title? Probably just a typo... ;^)
Well, it's an interesting image for color and texture. A bit hazy in the background (UV filter would help there maybe), unless of course the haze was left intentionally. The long grass has a nice glow to it. Not getting the use of a bush however. Why? I'm not voting on this challenge, but you're certainly going to have the DNMC police on your tail for that! ;^)
Oh well. Smile and keep having fun. |

The Bonsai Loverby TUBORGComment: Your title implies the person is the main subject in this, and as a viewer I'm drawn to his unique expression as well. Think you're going to get hit with DNMC on this one. :( Best of luck to you. |
