ROCK ONby wmewme2000Comment: Returning for comment and bumping up. Composition is good - nice job filling the frame. Colors have impact. With regard to visual interest, well, I personally am not getting an artistic message and don't really see this as super-creative. You have met the challenge spot-on with a single source of artificial light. Not sure I'd call this shot out of focus, but it's not particularly sharp either. Maybe a quicker shutter speed would have reduced the haloing/bleeding effect of the light. Overall, it's a decent shot. |

The heaven Lightby StructorComment: Returning for comment and bumping up. Composition is good, horizon line is properly placed and straight. Foreground elements add to visual interest; however, shadow detail has been lost. Nice colors in a good dramatic sky. As far as meeting the challenge, I believe it was supposed to include a single source of artificial light so in that regard I don't believe this particular shot meets the challenge as well as some of the other entries. Overall, this is a good shot. |

test_009.jpgby nomad469Comment: With regard to composition - works well. With regard to exposure - sucessful in stopping the motion of the person while still showing the movement of the fabric. With regard to color space - seems a bit flat. With regard to visual interest - excellent. Overall impact is short of "wow" but long on creativity and ingenuity. I think this is due to the shadows on the belly - probably unavoidable I know, but it's just my opinion. I think I'd like to see a smile or different expression on the model. What I see is concentration rather than something more inviting. Hope this helps... |

the great reflectorby scalesComment: Emotive, nice natural framing. I believe the challenge specified an artificial light source? Overall, a very nice shot. |
