The Last Goodbye by cutlassdude70Comment: I'm not much for the war, but this is one hell of a shot.
I like so many things about it. The subtle blades of grass, the rhythm of the shadows being carefully balanced, the placement of each specific identifiable element, the pose of the 'digger', the small imperfection in the base of the cross, the smoothness of the colors and gradients.
Very, VERY nice.
VERY slightly oversharpened, but I think it works. It's easily possible that this is a result of being resized.
I think you should print this shot in 8x10 and take it down to the security office to show them what you did with it. Thank them for allowing you to take a picture even though they were uncomfortable about the circumstances. Of course, I wouldn't leave the print with them, but you could maybe bring a few business cards instead and let them know how much you would sell them a print for. ;) |

Telekinesisby TallblokeComment: I like the color shift, but don't like the harsh-ish light on the pencil. I agree that it's not really as simple as it looks though. I did a series of around 40 shots on pencils a while back and it can be pretty tricky. |

Nice context...
I've got a great idea for another shot that I don't think I can pull off for a few months if you want to collaborate on another in this theme PM me... :) |

Washington State Ferry - Editedby levyj413Comment: Very, very nice. I'm a HUGE fan of the BC Ferries, not having tried out the Washington Ferries myself...
Definitely a really nice experience regardless of whose waters are being traversed. Personally, I would have cropped a bit more of the water off and let that fog really dominate.
Fog is also one of my favorite things...
The vignetting looks fine.
The increase in contrast is much needed and well executed. Message edited by author 2006-09-05 00:45:32. |

The Habitby timfythetooComment: Fabulous!
I'm planning on starting my stock portfolio with a series of anti-smoking type shots, so this twigged my eye. Well done indeed! |
