Story behind the shot.
Few weeks back my son fell into the sea at Portsmouth holding 'said' camera. It was knackered and no insurance.
Bought a new camera to replace it but still couldn't bring myself to throw the sea water damaged Fuji out. When I saw the title of this weeks challenge I just knew the setup I wanted.
I now feel ok to throw away the Fuji as I feel it has had a fitting end.........

Reading some of the comments cracked me up.... You really hurt some feelings, I am glad you cleared this up and are not the sinner we thought you were! Good job on the image and and a fitting send off for a fallen instrument.

Burial at sea.
Sorry about the misfortune, but was a great send-off making the top ten in it's final use.
By the way, there are a lot of ants, leaves & plastic army men that need burning - still great glass to be made use of.

Okay, so why did you wreck a camera? Image is really clear, and your water is very well defined with lots of tonal quality, but why did you wreck the camera? It hurts to look at this picture.

DAAAAAMMMMMM!!!! I feel so bad. Im 100% positive that you didn't put this camera in the water just for the shot, but i still feel bad that a nice camera like this one goes into the water. You get a 10 from me.

my god, you're mad! either that or the camera was already knackered; but still, not something one likes to see happen. i do feel that you could have maximised the stupidness of the shot; perhaps have someone using it and calling it underwater photography, or somesuch. it fits the challenge, obviously. it might look bit better without the strap though, because it detracts a little bit, but other than that well done :) 6.

Woha, talk about a sacrifice for a shot! I have to give you points for submerging your rig in water like that. Good luck, I'm assuming that it was toast before this shot was taken?!?!
