Squeeky Cleanby HeavyComment: Very clever - and lovely image - my only suggestion? put something in the lower right square - you have a body part neatly placed in each of the other panes of glass and only an odd shodow there. |

Tranquillityby JeanComment: Oh, it's yours! No wonder this is such a treasure. A bit stark for the voters so I didn't expect a ribbon but I thought top ten for sure! |

Sunflowerby belleinsoucianteComment: nice sunflower, needs more contrast to make it interesting. Your histogram is pretty flat. Do the ectra flowers in the background add anything? They seem distracting to me, especially the bright white ones. Maybe a different crop would have worked better? I think of a sunflower as tall, it seems odd to be looking down on it. |

Helianthus annuus in strong windsby dinnyComment: While the idea is nice, neither the colors nor the composition here are strong enough to make this a great shot. One problem is that all your leading lines lead off screen. Whenever the speed voters eyes are led off the photo, without a balancing line or interest to draw them back they think "Done, next photo" and they don't give the shot the time it needs. Maybe if there was something of a different contrast or tone to focus my interst on? All the colors are about the same level. |

Feeding Timeby kevrobertsonComment: Why the color shift? It looks interesting on the bee but I don't think it works on the leaves. The yellow color is nice. Perhaps more thought to the composition? the flowers with dead petals detract. While the bee is in focus, many of the flowers are not. Why include the top third of the photo? Do those extra flowers add anything? Maybe the bee and the lower flowers would be a better combo? |

Bamboo Rootsby jab119Comment: Why the landscape orientation? might it look better cropped closer? |

This Bud is for You!by vtruanComment: Very nice focus - is it perhaps too tightly cropped? I like the closed secretive look of the center petals and I like the way the smooth ribbed yellow petals contrast in texture with the skkikey outer leaves., Just the composition that is lacking a punch. Wonder if the image were square whether the dead center position might work better? 7 |
