Opheliaby inspir8tionComment: WOW - I hope the thumbnail pickers dont miss this one. it looked sorta average on the thumb but it is FAR from average. Besides having a terrific subject, you have done great stuff with her. Color, wow. I love your choice to stick with all reds, hair shirt lips bricks - it emphasizes her red hair. then your choice to use only one accent color, her jewelry mimicing the eyes makes the eyes into jewels. Nice. The crop is wonderful - just a bit too close on three sides and room on the fourth, it brings her right out of the frame. And the grain, of course, is delightful and matches the punky gritty look the kid is trying to display, keeps her from looking cute or sweet or any of those adjectives that kids hate. |

Redby thomaspeopleComment: too much light? great detail on the rest of his face - this extra pale skin is hard to expose for. |

Weatheredby BrianRComment: wonderful - love the background too - full sun and still no shadows on the face - clever use of the hat. the loghting is just great. so is his expression - notice how a face can say soo much without the eyes. usually we focus on the eyes but you have forced us to focus on the rest of the face and the body stance. |

Portrait of a hunterby rayz1Comment: I love the one eye half open keeping watchm and those long whiskers are perfectly sharp. the lines of sunlight on the floor make it look like the floor is slanted, tilted horizons is a pet peeve of mine, |

Bubbles? My Bubbles!by SchuffComment: EEK - kinda creepy - a baby underwater in a fish tank? The lighting is absolutely lovely. white balance maybe too pink? maybe if he was looking at the bubbles it woldnt look so much like he was gasping for air, those big eyes looking out? I think the heavy frame contributes to the fish tank feel, without the air bubbles if would be an intense portrait of a cute kid. On the other hand, if you meant it to look like an underwater scene, you did a great job! Either way ill give it a high score. |

edited-spoon-bill-copy.jpgby sheapodComment: Lovely bird, lovely color - is it really this color?? I havent ever seen a spoon bill. I dont even think I have ever seen a real flamingo. This one is in a zoo? or wild with an ankle band? the pinks are amazing, and it's just perfect how the detail of the feathers is so visible. I love the odd position that the bird is in. Makes him have a life, climbing a tree, ready to fly. |
