I think I like the selective desat, but the blue water at the bottom of the image ruins it for me... Makes it look too artificial.

Um, not exactly a "log"... more like a "limb", but I won't split hairs on that one. ;-)

Great capture... I love the colors and the "feel" of the image. My only nitpick is that there is no "&" or "and" in the title. I feel it's necessary for this particular challenge. But that is only a minor nitpick - 8
