I like your b&w version. Very nice! However, I must agree with the others that the color version is also very nice. The clouds seems to lose some texture in the pp version. Maybe selecting the sky out and fiddling with it on a separate layer?

Nice job! I only have one tiny things (and it's mostly personal) I find the sky on top of the clouds a bit to unatural looking with it going from that intense blue on the upper right to such a dark navy on the left. I know it's in the orignal picture already, but maybe just a bit more dodging on the darker side? Otherwise, very nice!

Vyer creative! I the cropping could be tighter so the top right and left corners include the plate. I also think a different color plate to show off the gold more might help.
