I like how the boat stands out, the colors in it are bright and sharp. Must of been sitting in the right amount of light.

Steve, this is nicely done. You've taken a very good, well exposed photo and improved it with post processing. The work in levels and curves boosted contrast enough to increase the drama. Saturation punched up the whole photo. Dodging and burning added some drama as well. In your thread comment you talked about the sea being over sharp and that you'd like a silkier appearance. What if you selected just the sea, copied it to a new layer and worked on it a bit with a blur filter, or even a slight motion blur?

Nice job! I only have one tiny things (and it's mostly personal) I find the sky on top of the clouds a bit to unatural looking with it going from that intense blue on the upper right to such a dark navy on the left. I know it's in the orignal picture already, but maybe just a bit more dodging on the darker side? Otherwise, very nice!

The basic exposure looks good. I'm not a fan of the overburned sky look, with the visible dark/light shifts and the upper left corner in particular looking very unreal to me. I prefer using the shadow/highlight tool to a burn brush when emphasizing a sky to make sure the colorization stays even. On the other hand, this is a very popular look among DPC voters, so don't mind my gritching too much.

There's nothing else to complain about.

Looking at the histogram this shot seems pretty perfect exposure wise. A few of the clouds on the right seem a bit bright when compared with the original, but I don't think it takes away from the photograph much. That said, I really like the dodge on the boat. It makes a big difference. It was a great edit.

It's a nice photo! and the clouds are so rich in texture and contrast.
You did a good job with the dodging and burning to bring out details in the clouds. It might have added 'sparkle' to dodge a bit more of the sea surface on the right side, where the sun is shining...not sure if you were using midtones or highlights for the dodging? not sure if it really makes that much of a difference?
And I wonder how it would look if you darkened the mountains more (all while lighting up the ocean more as well...)
The post processing gives extra dimensions to your already nice photo! Well done!

I know we are supposed to critique the porcesing....well, Steve, you did a fantastic job! I had to really hard, which I think is the point here, to find one small area that I would like to improve.
That area is the green/yellow of the land on the far right. I would lighten that a bit as it would reflect the light of the clouds.
I'd love to be where this picture is!
