An interesting idea that works to a degree. Whilst I would normally prefer mono, I suspect that this a very colourful character? There are two very distracting elements that spoil it for me, the main one being the background character that interferes with the main character in such a way that it detracts from what would have been a very strong figure. The other is the crop, the figure at the top should have been removed completely, again it detractsâ€Â¦

Welcome to DPC! Your entry is commendable for its uniqueness but their are some technical problems with it. The lighting is too severe causing dense hard shadows that obscure what is probably interesting detail on the board. I think you probably missed a great opportunity to take a very different image from eye level with the die excluding the left where the dark shadows are concentrating more on the shapes and translucent effects the lighting has on the dice themselvesâ€Â¦?

A great viewpoint that makes for an interesting and dynamic scene. My first reaction was not too positive feeling that it was over-processed and that is somewhat still my feeling, however, the more I look at it the more it grows on me. I am enjoying the immediate foreground seas the most, in fact, if I crop it just below the upper background structure I feel it makes it a far stronger image, I’d be interested in your thoughtsâ€Â¦?

What an interesting mix of colourful birds you have captured Susan. The bright red bird on the right is particularly engaging which is in contrast to the other two birds whose position and focus I feel is somewhat marring the end result to the detriment of that gorgeous bird. Thank you for your notes because this helps to see the image in the way you saw it but unfortunately your voters would not have had that same luxuryâ€Â¦

I̢۪m so envious Janine, it must have been a wonderful spectacle to experience. You have certainly got to grips with the technical difficulties associated with such a shot, well done. The tones and spread of the corona are very appealing, they make the image work superbly.

It looks a very tranquil setting, leaves me quite envious. I am impressed with the way you have taken the shot that there is minimal distortion with such a phenomenally wide angle lens, its only evident in the reflections which are much less obvious, well done it works well.

Your miniatures have served you well here Marcel, they are very colourful. You have made the composition much more convincing by getting right down to the level of the toys together with a well chosen aperture to make us feel that they have stopped their skating for a quick photo before they go back to their fun.

I like your interesting and creative interpretation of the challenge brief. Your exposure is very good relying as it does solely on the display illumination it creates a lovely contrast between the dark and light areas. The displays themselves add interest to the image. Technically the execution of the image has been well handled, well done Fabio

You have met the challenge brief with this appropriate capture of a cooperative family enjoying the playground ‘horse’. I have less of a problem with the crop than I do with the moment, it would have been so much better if they had all been looking into the frame with a look of joy on their faces. You have handled the exposure well on this bright day, well done Susan.
