I had given this a 10. I thought 'how creative',thought the composition exceptional. Good art is never appreciated by the masses. One of the more thoughtful pieces of work I've seen in a while. I think there are quite a few that don't like to have to think when they are visually challenged.

As The Crow Flies

I thought this would place higher. The effect hits you immediately as does the sense of motion. The 2 horizon thing - didn't even notice, but I thought it was a change in landscape - it almost seems like water - which is in keeping with your concept of "as the bird flies" and with the sense of speed and motion.
I think I also like this because I'm a poet and have written a poem exploring bird flight, from their prospective, and based on your image - I must admit I captured the idea quite nicely. It's nice to see a visual creation of the concept of flight.
