"The Anchor", also known as "Pioneers of the Frontier", shot in 1945 by Sam Nelson. I have never seen the movie but it turned up in a search for Anchor on imdb.com

It is just a shot I took while I was in Hoorn to shoot for my own pleasure and the bokeh challenge. I liked the way the light fell on the boat and how it created the shadow. The shooting angle might not be great but I still like it. So yes, I just searched for a title to match my photo.

The red channel looks so saturated because the reds clipped in the camera, I did nothing to create it and I am not sure if I like it or not. If the reds weren't so bright I might have chosen a B&W version.

Lens used: Nikkor AF-S VR 70-200 f2.8

Love that light and shade, and the shadow patterns. It grows on me too - the sheer wackiness of those lines and conjunctions. A strong eye, and a well organised composition.

I love the composition, the lighting and the shadows! Don't know the movie, but I'll trust you! 8

Neat shot: I like the "splash" of red on the boat. For that matter, I like the way all the colors are simple and bold.

Nice lighting and color. I've been drawn to boats for this reason, but always struggle with what to do with the ropes and chains coming in and out of the picture somewhat randomly.
