Weathered And Beatenby dpdaveComment: Creative and artistically presented. My only concern is that those eyes are literally 'eyes' and thus some may question if this entry meets the challenge requirements (I think it does). With that aside, this is a worthy entry without glaring technical deficits. (probably could have adjusted the saturation selectively to make the red and yellow more lively) |

Double Freakedby A VaryaComment: Great idea! Wish I thought of that. There's a bit of blur near the top which detracts. Some noise and lack of sharpness and detail as well. I like your choice of color, given your title. Overall this is a worthy entry that suffers somewhat from a technical aspect. |

the screamby sidpixelComment: Excellent and creative entry, strong for this challenge. A bit grainy in shadows but not enough to detract. |

Something Wicked This Way Comesby L1Comment: Very creative entry that works well for this challenge.
Nice mood created here. Very spooky. Well done with the post processing. |

Yellow Boxby dsb_macComment: This is a cute entry. Spotting a face in such a mundane object...you have a good eye. The focus is right. Exposure unfortunately is a bit high.
I think your angle works well for this object. Hard to get creative, but I feel simplicity is the best approach in this case. Your entry would be stronger if you shot it against a simpler background, say for example the hardwood floor completely filling the frame horizontally rather than obliquely as you have here. Or better yet, shot against a solid color backdrop, either a complementary color or just black. |

A Peek from Beneathby brooklynComment: A worthy entry, but you didn't quite get the focus right here. Not sure what happened. Perhaps your camera's autofocus went crazy. I recommend checking, then rechecking a shot before you work on it in post processing, or better yet, take enough shots in one sitting to guarantee proper exposure and focus.
The colors here are a bit flat on the greenery. While I am not a fan of oversaturated colors, this could use a bit of a boost. |

Rebeccaby nolockComment: I'm sure a million people already told you: this will not work for this challenge.
Concerning this photograph: good exposure and focus. A bit grainy in the shadows though. Quality of the photo is overall adequate, but you will get voted down for not meeting the challenge requirements. |

Wind and Rainby NinjaMomComment: Hi Danetta. I'm sure we'll be seeing great things to come, given that you have a fantastic tool in that 10D and what I can see from your portfolio. Good luck. :) |

The Three Little Bearsby ArcanistComment: Very fitting for this challenge, and very classy presentation. Technically beyond reproach, and if I were to nit pick, I'd comment that the image exposure is a bit blown but that is not enough to seriously detract from the beauty of this presentation. One other comment. I feel that a simple border would have sufficed here. Yet, your border if not sufficiently tacky to be an issue. Overall a strong entry that I hope does well. Good luck. |

It's a Blue Christmas Without You by bledfordComment: Simple, elegant, effect.
Technically beyond reproach (well, almost. Reflection a bit strong on the ornament)
Artistically beyond reproach.
Border could have been more subtle but not sufficiently detracting to be an issue at all.
Congrats on a well deserved ribbon (well that's my prediction :-)
