Light is Godby LevTComment: Your title has it backwards, which if you are Christian, is quite sacriligeous. :-)
Whether that is your intent or not is not that relevant, just a side note. On to the picture. The composition is good overalll. The child's curiosity is evident in his bright upward gaze. The candle is also nicely exposed with the shaft fading into darkness. The point lighting is quite effective.
The image could be a bit sharper but in this particular composition is just a minor issue as the soft focus is flattering in the setting of the warm glow of the candlelight. Overall well done. 7 |

Lean forward and backby whagerbaumerComment: Hmm...this is quite a daring entry. Technically a very well shot, obviously intentionally out of focus light source. I fear this will not be palatable among the voters. I'll gve you a 5. |

A Lonely Soap Bubbleby fplouffeComment: Nicely done. Perhaps a bit more (1 cm) real estate to the right of the bubble is what I would recommend. 7 |

Find Your Way Homeby rmtm333Comment: Perfect. The trio of gulls in the distance makes this one special. Have you tried processing this one a bit more and blackening the sand? Might add more dramatic contrast between the relatively similar hues of the sand, rocks, and lighthouse. 10 |

Sunlitby mocabelaComment: What a fantastic idea. What would have really worked better is if there was something more interesting immediately ouside the window, casting a shadow into the room. Still, this is a nice, clean, graphic composition. Well done, 8 |

Lightestby dan_pendletonComment: I love the simplicity of the composition. Quite effective and cropped just right. I like how the position of the lightest bulb corresponds to the shadow position of the other three bulbs. Well done. 7 |

By the Light of the Moonby tazzaComment: Have you considered a hue shift? I wonder how this would appear in an electric blue. I think the stars save this exposure, as the lower right is a bit hot. Had you decreased the exposure length, perhaps those stars might have not manifested itself. Overall a very dramatic and mysterious entry. 7 |

Dawn's Early Lightby CantiqueComment: Fantastic exposure. Excellent tonal range with subtle shades of blue/purple hills and magical glow in the sky. Perhaps a hair more sky and a hair less house/roof, or selectively silhouette the buildings below. I'll score this one a 7 |
