very original. Why did this score so low? I gave this an 8. I saw it and my jaw hit the floor. maybe I was being biased because I like guns? or maybe it is sort of a snapshot and it didnt please many. very nice work here, and I appreciate the effort.

Light of the Revolution.

OK, so this wasn't shot in the mountains of Columbia. It is simply an experiment in light. The long exposure alowed the ambient light to bring out some of the shadow detail in the background and the muzzle flash from the Carbon 15 pistol iluminated the actor.

The white frame with the black border makes it look more like a snapshot, which IMNHO weakens a very powerful photo.

One of the troubles wih dpc is that there have been so many set-up shots that one can only take this for one. I'd love it to be a genuine war photographer's shot, but can't believe it at all. Wonderfully executed, as it were.
