Eleganceby clarmoreComment: Very elegant indeed. There appears to be a strange shadow across the bridge of the model's nose, which could have been dodged. Otherwise, fantastic!

Brotherhoodby L1Comment: An excellent and emotive photo with great DOF, colors, and clean, unintrusive processing techniques that preserves image integrity while bringing out the details and good sharpness. |

Rainby MAKComment: I think the expression on her face is quite lovely and the composition is very good. Then something went seriously wrong in the processing, which I suspect is far too much noise suppression which obliterated fine detail leaving a watercolor effect. I wonder how the original looks and would be interested in following up after the end of the challenge to compare the two. |

Snuggle Bearby SonifoComment: A fantastic, warm, soft entry that is very Sonifo-esque (my apologies if you are not familiar with her work or if you are indeed Sonifo). A winner in my book. |

The music of the streetby PollyBeanComment: Fantastic composition and wonderful desaturation and toning. I like the relatively clean processing, though there are some jaggies along the curve of the violin and the edge of the bow as a result of aggressive edge sharpening. Overall a solid and well-deserved 7. |

Sax Man on the Promenadeby pawdrixComment: Superb composition and clean processing! I like the toning effect.
In the top corners and on the sax, there appear to be artifactual patches of increased saturation which I believe is a result of burning/dodging after applying the toning. Recommend applying the toning after all burning/dodging is completed in the workflow.
A solid 7 and a job well done! |
