Nice use of negative space. A bit more punch is needed I think to the clouds and grass

Scotland? Nice idea but I think there should be just a little shadow detail to balance the highlights. As this is an advanced challenge you can use dodging judiciously and it would lift this shot into a different league

A week early for the macro challenge but this is very nice and the lines lead one to the insect's perching point without detracting from the actual subject

Rather messy scene I'm afraid without a clear focal point. Also would benefit from a boost in contrast and saturation to give more punch

Love this! Very creative use of PS techniques. Only thing is that the horizon seems to be a little tilted?

I wondered if we'd see any bold selective desaturation and hue shifts like this. Personally I like it a lot. Has a very dreamy, graphic feel to it and the composition is very good. I know this effect takes more work than it looks like at first sight. For some it may not be "out of this world" enough, but I love it. Well done. 8

Wonder how you did this? Would love to know after the challenge. This is a dark shot that would appeal to many as a poster, I think. Very well done. Shows that one needs one's monitor calibrated correctly as this looks very dark on some and great on a Mac! Good luck. 8

Yes! I like this a lot. Super macro and an excellent comp. The back lighting has enhanced the silhouette and the contrast is first class. A great take on the challenge that deserved to be looked at for a long time. Trouble is, a lot of people flick through so fast that it may be missed by some voters. I hope not as it deserved to be in the top ten at least (together with mine of course ;)

Very cute take on this challenge, Technically it is rather weak but it has a lot of potential. Hard to light the eye and the doll house evenly. Perhaps a long exposure on a tripod rather than the flash?
