Data Storageby menardmamComment: A beautifully sharp and detailed image of a device we all use every day, but almost never see. The lighting and photographer's angle are very well done and the sharpness is just right. I like the green circuit-board background and I assume the 1's and 0's on the disc are a reflection you created by hoisting some sort of a backdrop for that purpose. Very well thought out and nicely executed. |

HB 2by Toby-DogComment: Nice repetitive symmetry, and very nice textures on the pencils. The soft lighting works well but I wish it were a bit brighter, though it looks like you were narrowly avoiding some burned out areas already. Nice response to the challenge. |

Abstract Melodyby tonodzComment: I love this image! though I think you didn't realize its potential. The shallow DOF probably works a little against you. the inlaid patterning around the hole is probably beautiful and would have worked nicely if it was at least partially focused. Outstanding response to the challenge! |

Soap!by zmaerdComment: Very cool concept! The shallow DOF works against you though, I think. I'd like to see the foreground bubble sharp all the way around. One of the more creative responses to this challenge though, nice going! |

A better mouse...by soccerdadComment: Very nice idea and execution. Photo angle, lighting and crop are all excellent. I would probably have opted for just one mousetrap and a bit tighter crop (or just make use of the resulting negative space). Nice creative response to the challenge! |

White Picket Fenceby digitaldaveComment: ...and quite a dirty fence! I love the composition. It looks a bit soft overall. I would have liked to see better detail in the ground (plants, soil, etc.) and better relief in the texture of the wood and paint. I like the choice of BW and the crop. Very nice effort and meets the challenge well, IMO. |

Dirty Windshieldby GeneralEComment: Yeah, it's dirty! Very unusual coloring and texture, but I like the composition overall. |

Have a seatby andrimComment: Very interesting composition. I love the stark contrast of the black chair on the perfectly white background. I would have liked to see a different crop though, with considerably more use of negative space to really leave the chair stranded in a more open photo. |
