Perfect mood & tone on this.
Great use of the "rough" B & W finish.
Love the composition & perspective.
A well-deserved ((8))

i like this picture, but i am sure the literalist will not consider it an object...i like the color balance. i might find it more interesting if shot from a lower point-of-view, with a little more foreground.

wow. the b/w treatment here works wonderfully. the composition is great (good white/black balance) and the gritty nature really hits home. The DOF could be a tad more shallow to blow out the background a little more and the perspective could be *just* a hair lower so as to avoid competition between the foreground pickets and the background pickets. Excellent overall. [9]

Did you make it B&W or how did you do this nice old look

...and quite a dirty fence! I love the composition. It looks a bit soft overall. I would have liked to see better detail in the ground (plants, soil, etc.) and better relief in the texture of the wood and paint. I like the choice of BW and the crop. Very nice effort and meets the challenge well, IMO.

Very nice photo. I hope this doesn't get DQ'd for the drop shadow.

I really like the gritty-ness of this shot as well as the B&W treatment. It is quite cool. The composition is striking.
