The blue of the sky and the gold of the field are great. Hide and seek as a team sport - not so great.

Nice colors and lines, but I just don't see much in the way of sports.

Hello Hans and * Greetings from the Critique Club *

One of the indicators of a succesful image is whether or not it invokes emotion for the viewer. As you probably noted from your comments - your image did so for most of the commenters.

It was a very original idea - and although your technical aspects (exposure, focus, composition) were very well done, it still didn't score very high.

The question to ask are "What could be done to make it move up in the rankings?"

I would suggest that you should do anything that would make it more "believable" - such as:
a) Add a medical touch - something that would make it look more "hospital like" - instead of the wooden background. Perhaps a miniature medical instrument - and a very sterile white background.
b) Perhaps a "father" banana looking on.
c) Mini receiving blanket in the scene.

You get the idea - just that little extra thing that may make a voter who normally spends a few seconds... look a little longer before hitting the "4" key!

Hope this helps - and congratulations on one of the most original ideas for bananas!

Interesting angle and lighting. Rather centered, but this in one time when that works very well.

You win the mini-contest of the three white eggs. It amazing how closely the two images resemble each other! I like the way you made 2 of your eggs "friends." Nice even lighting - good exposure.

You've taken something very "un photogenic" and proved that straight ugly sticks can be made into a wonderful image. Great use of the smoke and green background to make it happen.

Very nice rendering! Full of interesting shapes due to your wonerful lighting. May need a bit more of the bottom of the closest glass.

Moody and mysterious. A slight bit of keystoning, but it doesn't hurt this composition at all.

Nice idea and original. MAke it better by having a larger size and by a reddish glow to the charcoal.
