Along Came A Rainbowby Polar7Comment: This is an incredible picture. You did really well. I love the aquamarine color; a great composition for me because I like to see the water on the right side rolling over the edge, and I like that tiny peek through the mist to the other side. But I don't think it's serendipity -- the rainbow is always there.
Now this was a serendipitous experience for me because I am so pleasantly surprised to have discovered your beautiful image -- of course I thought I would see nice pictures here, but I am amazed by yours. |

Honey, how would you like your egg doneby RUEDISCHMUTZComment: Yes. I think that does "represent" Serendipity; although as an image it is a little yucky for my taste. My entry showed a serendipitous event and scene for me, but does not repesent the idea of it. |

Biking is hard to learn.., and it hurts!by olnosComment: I wonder if it is "compositionally perfect?" The rule of thirds is an empirical determination to attempt an explanation of why we respond so favorably to one image and perhaps not to another. One of the things we seem not to enjoy so much is an image divided in half, and your picture seems to be, diagonally. The geometrical average of the mass of the wonderful little girl fills in just exactly half the shot. So maybe that is part of people's reaction. Maybe it is cropped too tight.
Also, your fill-in flash is perhaps a bit overdone. The face is featureless, the eyebrows are missing and the image in right on the edge of being blown out. |

Big wheel spinning by jab119Comment: I can not believe you made this so very interesting. Even though there can't be too many Ferris Wheel pictures, you really did this well -- it looks as dangerous as I first thought when I was 3 years old. |

Wood Wheel And Sun Wheelby MonaComment: This is one of the most impressive water wheels and the lighting (etc., etc.) is perfect. Your frame sucks. |
