This has certianly more than enough subject matter pertaining to a wheel. The girl's expression is perfect.... and glad she has a helmet on.

I gave this shot a 3. My reason being that I didn't feel that it met the challenge which was to take a shot of " a Wheel ". It's a lovely shot of your daughter but I felt that the bike in the background was secondary to the main subject which was your daughter.
I feel that i scored your shot fairly. One of my favourite shots from this challenge was of flowers (I commented on that shot that I would have happily given it a 10 if the challenge was to take a shot of some flowers but as it didn't meet the challenge I gave it a 1)

I gave this foto an 8, but your comment is out of line here. Photography is subjective, and on this site, majority rules. The subject of this picture is the girl, not the wheel. It is encouraged here that we give maximum consideration to the theme. That's the dificulty of this challange oriented site. Coming up with ideas twice a week that fit. My guess is that many people didn't think that it met the challange. You are exactly right that this is a wonderful shot, but your playing long odds going 113 to 1.

I wonder if it is "compositionally perfect?" The rule of thirds is an empirical determination to attempt an explanation of why we respond so favorably to one image and perhaps not to another. One of the things we seem not to enjoy so much is an image divided in half, and your picture seems to be, diagonally. The geometrical average of the mass of the wonderful little girl fills in just exactly half the shot. So maybe that is part of people's reaction. Maybe it is cropped too tight.

Also, your fill-in flash is perhaps a bit overdone. The face is featureless, the eyebrows are missing and the image in right on the edge of being blown out.

Lovely colors and the face just says everything about riding that bike. Would have wanted some more wheels in the picture.

Hope you gave her some comfort after cold-heartedly playing with your camera! :)

A shot like this could never be composed and the mood was captured perfectly. Excellent DOF.

Her expression is priceless . Nice capture you have added a very human element
to this challenge that is full of inanimate objects. Cheers

The pain can be seen on the child's face that we can all relate to when we are learning the same thing. Nice expression.

But you feel good when you finally manage to stay upright. The wheel here is more ol less hinted at. I think it warranted a little more space to itself, but it is a great picture and tells the story without words.

Cute picture but your score will sufer because the wheel isn't really part of the picture. The lighting on her face is harsh, did you use the flash?

Very cute picture, but the wheel, or some wheel metaphor isn't the main focus of the photo. Yes, you have a wheel in there and compositionally, I like the photo, but it falls a bit short of the challenge, IMO.
