The Face of Mental Illnessby L1Comment: Huh?
I don't really see (or get) what you're going at. The face-like structure (is it metal or a very plastered and post processed human face?) doesn't say conspiracy to me and I wonder what it's got to do with mental illness. Is this an attempt of yours to deal with something that happened to you or someone close to you?
I was clinically depressed this summer and spent 10 weeks, drugged and suicidal, in a mental institution. So, if you were "kidding" or just plain playing around (with words), please don't, because you'd obviously not know what you're talking about if you haven't been there yourself.
If you have been there, all the best to you! |

A. F. & G.by carodaniComment: Great shot! Love the DOF, the greenish color cast, the lighting, the glasses, the angles of the guys' looks/faces and the red color of the woman's top. Really cool! one of the best I've seen so far, if not the best.
9 from me |

Dade, age 5by HBunchComment: a bit too much blur (in post processing?), especially on the arm, not so sure about the face - the hair looks great, natural texture. Too much of a "mall studio portrait" for my taste. The background works very well, but the kid's too soft - he's a great looking boy! no need to "polish" him this way.
Otherwise: good lighting, nice expression and pose. The T-shirt's color seems a little overwhelming. Different color (not solid, brighter?) or different crop (same width, cut off the bottom and make it square?) might have helped.
As is, a 6. Could have been a 7, at least . |

Unnur Birnaby LalliSigComment: amazing, what a great looking face does to a well setup portrait! She's stunningly beautiful and so is your portrait. From what I've seen so far, this should make at least the top 20.
I give you a 9 - my first. No 10 yet. |

Fallsby madhatterComment: so this is a "portrait" of the falls?!? nice shot, I'll give you a 5 for that. If it had a human or at least animal being in it, I'd score it even higher. |

Juniorby mesmerajComment: didn't think I'd hear myself say this anytime soon, but I think the selective desaturation works here! good stuff!

Boy With Dollsby Dr.ConfuserComment: Should have ranked MUCH higher, IMHO. Love your work, added both you and this shot to my favorites.
Cheers from Zurich, Switzerland, to Kirkland WA - was there just 2 years ago on a massive road trip of the American West.
