If you build it...

I thought I commented on this earlier. It looks as though nothing is actually in focus in this one. The colours are cool and the angle is cool, but you need to have something in focus. Maybe try to create some drama with a narrow DOF.

This is an excellent subject but I almost wish it was shot frmo a different angle - there's some drama missing here. You can create drama in several ways in your composition - shooting really close to something and creating a narrow DOF, using lots of negative space to enhance the subject, etc. This one looks more like a snapshot than a photograph. The lighting is extrmely harsh - should try to take more pictures in the early morning or at sunset. 5

Good idea for this challenge. I almost wish you'd shot a bit of the golf ball because that would have made this a 10. 9

Batter Up!

I realize this is supposed to look like the bat is hitting the ball, but it looks like it's glued onto the bat and that's a bit distracting. I like the angle of the shot though and I'm glad you chose a bat with rich colours - although the light reflecting into the bat is a bit harsh. Good composition overall though 6

This is nice and rich with lots of detail but needs more negative space. 6

This is very very grainy adn pixelated. The saturation is really dead in this - it needs to be punched with richer colours -maybe shot at sunrise or sunset. The idea behind this is very good though and the composition is interesting -5

This is really really cool. I wish I could see more detail on the glove, but that's minor. Also, wish the glove was a bit less in the centre, but that's minor. Good luck - 9

The harsh light in this is very distracting and doesn't add anything to the composition. The colours are a bit off - almost like the white balance wasn't metering things properly. Also, taking a photo like this dead-on and centered doesn't add a lot of drama to the composition. Think of things like depth of field, rule of thirds and using negative space.

This is a good composition. The lighting is okay, the noise and pixelization is a bit distracting (try using under 100 ISO whenever possible) - but the image isn't compelling to me. It may have been better with the scores actually showing up - maybe the bright colours would have added to the composition.
