nice use of dof = really pops out agains the b&w treatment of hand and dirt. To make this an even better shot-- the dirt in the fingernails distracts my eye for some reason (others will like it) maybe it's their length that doesn't go with digging? I'd like to see more of the hand - cutting it off mid-palm distrupts the flow. Overall well done.

Fine shot, well composed - the repetitive poles add the interest needed. To make this better, imho, I'd like more light in the forgroung (or overall?) to bring out some of the detail (as is I really can't tell this is ice)

Creative idea here that didn't quite make it for me. Perhaps some wood ready for a fire may have given the shot a bit more life. THe upper left shiney thing distracts my eye.

I like your pov here and the sky makes a nice contrast. The foreground lacks detail (light) and I think it would make the shot more interesting if I could see it better

I've added this to my favorites. Lots to like here circular images (light, bowl, flower) make a nice pattern. I don't think Textures necessarily when I look at this but it's got so much going for it that it would score well in a number of categories. Can't wait to see what entry beat this one!
