Magicby RKTComment: Love the tones, depth of field, and composition here. I feel as if the bee is just entering the scene and will be drawn upward to that one, sharply in-focus blossom. I really like the diagonal progression from soft to just slightly oof to sharp. |

Trafficby NikonJebComment: Great scene - how lucky that gentleman is to have the mobility the electric wheelchair (cart? can't quite see) affords him. I'm a compulsive straightener and would at the least rotate CW - I know I'm in the minority in this side challenge, but I might as well own it :) |

essence of Pashminaby Ecce_SignumComment: Title is perfect. Essence is what you have here: "the intrinsic nature or indispensable quality of something, (especially something abstract,) that determines its character." Parentheses mine. |

subwayby instepsComment: The grain is very nice as are the overall tones. The expression is a bit disdainful - was that deliberate? |

Untitledby aznymComment: Terrific lines and the birds add such interest. Curious that they are both facing the same direction. I love silhouettes, and this is a particularly clean and nice one. |

You post from your job, I'll post from my little neighborhood - and we'll both be happy :) |

earth-bound misfit, Iby ubiqueComment: And, like a bolt of lightning, a jet trail strikes the tree! Great mood and what wonderful trees and silhouettes of them.
Just read Andi's thought - two in a row (just finished commenting on PennyClick's latest post :) |

She Leaves Before Dawnby PenelopeKComment: Great mood - she leaves in the mist, too.
I have several favorite color combinations and one of them is selective color sepia with red. I also only really like selective color when it appears to be (or as if it could be) natural. So this one fills the bill in spades. Natural tones that give me the very best of a subtle selective color palette.
Great use of the edge of the wharf, of course.
And you are not going to believe it, but I've said before that it's my habit when commenting to comment first, read comments second. So I JUST read Don's, after I'd explained my pleasure in the tones. |
