This has it all. Beautiful light behind the silhouettes, diagonal contrail keeps pulling me back in, gems to find like a moon and my favorite of all-the wire.

That's not a tree. It's an antenna. We just don't know to whom it is broadcasting. The little one keeps watch.

First of all, that's one heck of a tree -- it should be on a movie poster or a book cover.

Secondly, how did you get the clouds to bend to form a "V" over the tree? Let us in on the secret. It's a trick all of us could use.

And finally, the moon making an appearance on the far right is a stroke of genius.

The sunlight on the garden
Hardens and grows cold,
We cannot cage the minute
Within its nets of gold;
When all is told
We cannot beg for pardon.

Our freedom as free lances
Advances towards its end;
The earth compels, upon it
Sonnets and birds descend;
And soon, my friend,
We shall have no time for dances.

The sky was good for flying
Defying the church bells
And every evil iron
Siren and what it tells:
The earth compels,
We are dying, Egypt, dying

And not expecting pardon,
Hardened in heart anew,
But glad to have sat under
Thunder and rain with you,
And grateful too
For sunlight on the garden.

A smart game of pyramids - is there such a game? If not, here it is including the full moon to use as token

Misfit? Just to tease the next challenge.

The vapor trail and cable cutting through imply this isn't the destination. This is neither here nor there but irresistible.

And, like a bolt of lightning, a jet trail strikes the tree! Great mood and what wonderful trees and silhouettes of them.

Just read Andi's thought - two in a row (just finished commenting on PennyClick's latest post :)

I love the upside-down pyramid slash funnel

I thought the contrail was a bolt of lightening at first! I also didn't see the 'telegraph wire' in the thumb. Am guessing that orb thingy is the reason for your title? I don't think its a misfit at all.

I was going to say how much I love the trees but guess they are not that special to you as you live in stunning tree country.
