Hi there!
I thought about doing rock candy, but couldn't find any. This is a nicely colorful shot. The idea is good, but there are some flaws. The focus is not sharp anywhere. At least a part of the image should be clearly focused. Also the composition suffers from the out of focus background. Don't know what it is...almost looks like an olive.
If you'd cropped out that section on the right, with the bg on down, the composition would work better.
I think because of the colors and texture you should work with this subject again. The potential is there.

Well I guess if there is no significant weather happening nearby you go to the miniature world of snow globes. Imaginative! I like studio shots so I give you credit for that. I suppose the idea could have worked but there is some glare on the globe.
I think for this to be more believable, the top of the globe should be cropped, as well as both sides and the bottom, so that only the scene showed.
The idea is clever, and definetly can be improved upon. Put a little more energy and thought into the details and you will have an appealing image.

Colors are wonderful and detail is good. The problem, though, is the crashing wave in the center of the picture, distracts from the flora.
