The Guiding Lightby chimeraComment: Nice idea, but the light is more blinding than guiding. Possibly moving back, or cutting the exposure (which would render the trees darker) would work better. |

Telegraph Hillby Pep VentosaComment: This shot really captures the steepness of Telegraph Hill. The sharply rising pavement contrasts well with the skyline above. |

Looking outby paynekjComment: The low point of view makes this an effective picture. I think I would have cropped away some of the empty white at the top, which would also throw the face off center and make the composition work better. |

The Music Boxby joanbitmaniacComment: Interesting view of the inside of the piano. I would have liked sharper depth of field in the foreground; the out of focus pegs at the right are somewhat disconcerting. |

Moonlight Mosqueby pitsamanComment: The sharp lines of the mosque and the pink coloring make this look more like a painting than a photograph. Very nice effect. The trees provide a nice contrast to those severe lines. |

MENACING by ellamayComment: I think less exposure, or darkening in the post processing, would have made this a more dramatic shot. As it is, the low point of view and the scattering of lights does make the menacing mood of your title and an interesting composition. |

"Moon Glow"by DrakeComment: A bit less exposure would have added some detail to the moon. I don't know if that would have preserved the interesting pattern of branches or not. If not, I would certainly go with your choice of a blank moon. If the exposure reduction were to add detail without spoiling the branches, I would go with it. |

Night creatureby rhipsterComment: He does look like a creature that should hide during the day, but of course he doesn't. Good choice to take the building at an angle - it increases the dramatic feel of the shot. |
