Great shot! This one differed from the shots in the challenge.

I really like the way you got all the negative space around the picture. It makes it have a darker feeling. However, the moon flare is very distracting. You can fix that by finding a different angle to shoot from. Also, a bit more detail in the moon would've been awesome too.... And last, the branches could've been a bit more in focus, but the softness kinda adds some spookiness to the shot....

Keep up the good work!

I love that this is like a pupil, the double moon, and the branches framing it all.

Neat shot

Very fun image. The lens flare of the moon really adds for me. Nice framing choice.

I like your photo, how did you take it?
What is the thing that is at the left of the moon?
It seems a reflexion

This almost looks like an eye
very creepy and unusual nice work I am not so sure I like the shadow though

Okay, I hope you win. I love this shot. The isolation around the moon with the presence of the bony-finger-like branches is awesome. I think the one thing that would make this shot better is the lack of the second moon, but sometimes those things can't be helped. Gorgeous shot.

This would have been a winner but for the moon being too over exposed

A bit less exposure would have added some detail to the moon. I don't know if that would have preserved the interesting pattern of branches or not. If not, I would certainly go with your choice of a blank moon. If the exposure reduction were to add detail without spoiling the branches, I would go with it.

Great idea, but I don't like the second moon effect.

Very interesting shapes. Love the monotone colours as well. It adds to the eeryness of the night. Too bad about the moon ghost (slightly different positioning of the camera would have fixed it). Also, vertical orientation of the photograph would ad dynamic to it, with darkenss below and moon shining above. Still interesting image to look at.

Technical: fits the challenge. Exposure lighting composition focus all very good.

Personal: As tempting as it was to me to take a shot like this, I chose not to because I thought it wouldn't be very compelling- I've voted other similar images in this challenge down for this reason, but this shot actually works very well. The focus is sharp and the image is very clean and smooth looking, the exposure and composition are perfect, and great mood is created here. Nice job where others failed!!

My vote: 8

This just jumped out at me, I love the way the branches frame the moon and the negative space frames the branches, this is a cool shot, great job!

Neat looking view of the moon. Not too bad but the lens flare and lack of detail on the moon is a little bother. On the other hand the branches in a ring are spectacular and make a natural frame around the moon. Interesting shot. Good luck in the challenge.

The 'double moon' is a touch distracting. Nice overall

Overexposed moon looks like a spotlight. Needs some definition (which I know from experience, removes definition from the branches).

Very moody. I really like the creative framing and the large black. I see a double moon (glare?) that detracts, I think, from your artistic shot
