Awakeningby MaryOComment: The DOF gets to my eyes a bit so I have to look at this nice image by covering a lot of the right side |

Tiltedby jcarComment: Good gracious, go to NG because you make me impossible not to vote high and most of these birds and bees will always get the blue - and all us amateurs, the blues |

Hopelessness on the train by markwileyComment: These eyes are full of “mal de vivre” - sickness of living and in the same time with a glimmer of hope. There is also resentment and acceptance. Despair comes sometimes in this combination until an angel’s wing touches the man’s heart! The image of moments in life. Contained despair.
My highest mark in this challenge |

Johnnyby LevTComment: Character from a Turgenev novella. Great in color. Great shot
I do not photograph homeless people (or beggars) unless they see my camera and ask to be photographed. A rare thing. Most of them are beyond words and I feel primarily to help them somehow than photograph them. In the end, the truth is that I do neither of these two choices - most of homeless people in NYC are hard to approach and we are asked to help them through organized charity. Am not sure I fully appreciate Diane Arbus obsessive search. But your Johnny is (was) a different character |
