Okay...seriously, I know you were going for a nice effect of isolating the color of the eyes against the rest of this composition, and you've done a fine job of that, but I find the effect very unflattering and...well...a little creepy even. Post-challenge, I might suggest two-toning this in a dark blue to match the hue of the eyes and complement--not isolate--them. Just a suggestion. 6 from me.

While this is duotone, one might argue that it's not technically black and white. I hope the voters will not do you a huge injustice for that, but I'm inclined to say that I think the brown two-tone (or at least this bright a hue of it) was a poor choice for this subject. There needs to be greater contrast to frame the face.

Not sure I'm buying the incongruity of a handsomely dressed young woman and a garden hose, but the execution and overall composition of this photo is amazing. 10 from me.

Hehe...I love it. Reminds me of something off the cover of a old-fashioned Sears catalog.

This one is lovely. I just wish it didn't appear overexposed. Try tweaking your brightness and contrast settings.

I love the framing effect of the two buses in this shot. I think you could probably draw just a tad more from it by applying a blur brush to that background. Overall, a 7 from me.

I looks like you may have used a blur tool on the left eye, perhaps to make an unintentional blue from the camera appear more intentional. Focus is definitely drawn to the right eye, and I suspect that's what you were going for. But I'm not convinced that it's working for this composition. Have you considered simply cropping the left eye out entirely, generating a more rectanglar composition that ends at the nose bridge?

Elegantly simple. Reminds me of an homage to an older generation's school portraits.

Stunningly flattering portraiture here. The composition suffers some, I think, from that blurry hair in the lower left corner, and I think you might capture the essence of the "princess feel" more with a white background instead of a black one, but as is this is still solidly an 8 for me.

I like what you're trying to do. Keep working at it, though...go for greater contrast and shallower shadows on the face.
