hold your colourby disassociationComment: This one has potential but you need to have some fill light her face and here eyes especially are too dark (no catchlights) The first thing that should catch the viewers attention is the eyes but in this photo I notice the bright yellow flowers and the blown out background. I'm not saying that the flowers and the bright background is bad, it seems to be the trend lately, just that it can't be so bright as it overpowers the models face and eyes. You might have been able to bring up the lighting a bit in her face with processing but most likely you just needed some reflectors. |

Damianby DudskiComment: I like the lighting and the eye has nice detail so I know your focus is on. You've probably already heard this quite a bit, but I think you sort of shot yourself in the foot with the processing on this one. His skin is overly smooth and when I look at it that is all I see, not the nice lighting you have got going here. Especially for a man, this photo requires more grit more edge, his expression says it all, but smoothing it out takes that all away. Processed differently I could see it in the top 10, as is I gave it a 5 sorry :( |

ANARCHIST by LVicariComment: I can't decide if I like this or not. The lighting is good but she looks like a manikin and I'm thinking you did this on purpose but the effect is done more strongly on the hand than the face, I think I would like it better if it was more uniform. |

Vigilby pambComment: I think that she needed to be closer to the candle I don't mind the darkness but her face needs to be more the focal point instead of the candle and right now it is very secondary. The weird catch lights in her eyes take away from the mood you are trying to create. I like the reflection much more than I like the main part of the photo. I think in this case it would have been better to have her looking in a different direction, right now her look is leading me away and out of the photo. I think looking more to the side like the reflection or right at camera would have been better. I think this photo is a good idea but is suffering a bit from minimal editing. I think most problems could have been fixed in advanced. |

First Dateby vawendyComment: I think you ought to be doing really well with this one but my ability to predict anything seems to be off these days. I think you will hit well with many types of audiences (just quirky enough to get the people who don't like plain old studio shots and not so quirky as to turn of the rest) I think the lighting the pose and the look are pretty well spot on. The only thing that slightly bothers me and I don't even know if it bothers me that much or if I am just nit picking is the light spot on her hair, I can't decide if it adds or detracts from the overall feel of the image. |

Waiting for the Recital by vawendyComment: Beautiful work Wendy. Your work needs to be seen by more than just a DPC audience. You are an artist and should have this along with many others up in a gallery somewhere. |
