when getting dumped on is a good thingby deepfrog17Comment: I don't understand the title but I don't vote on that.
The white spots will probably cause this photo to garner a low vote. If it was a flash that caused them, which I think is usually the case, turning it off would have helped. Beyond the flash, I like the streaks of falling rain and the scene. A long exposure would have created a pretty picture with the texture of the rain. I apologize if I'm wrong about the flash. |

Scars from yesterday's rainby KnightmovesComment: The exposure is good. The picture doesn't generate a lot of intrest and might end up with a low score because of that and the lack of wetness(making it seem to be dnmc).
Here are some things to think about. How could it be made more interesting? Could the composition have been taken more at a diagonal, Cropped closer, or would an added element that was more colorful have changed it? |

wet leavesby chimaeraComment: I just want to mention that when I look at pictures, I feel disappointed when I see the subject cut off without a good reason. Maybe I'm old fashioned in that respect.
To me, the center leaf is the subject. There was plenty of room to get the whole leaf into the frame. But I'm probably not understanding the picture right. |

fall and be forgottenby elmomarieComment: Hope this ends up in the top 10. Gutsy. At first I thought it was someone just picking up a leaf. The title tells a good story. |

Light for a Rainy Dayby mickisdaddyComment: The focus might have been better placed on the candle holders even though the window is showing the rain for the challenge. I think the voters would have been able to see that even if it wasn't in focus.
It looks like the right holder is more in focus but a lot of people read from left to right and that carries over to photos. By seeing the left holder first, one assumes the right one isn't in focus either, especially in a symetrical composition. The voters will spend about 3 seconds looking at the picture and will naturally jump to conclusions. |

Evening Rainby kaidaehnkeComment: Top 5
The clouds look wonderful. I'd like more lightness in the boats and building but it would be hard to get that great a range without advanced editing. |
