Its all there In B&Wby maurice1Comment: This might be one of the shots that would do better if the viewer had more information. The exposure is pretty good except for the spot where the sun is reflecting off the water. The people run too much together which, to me, makes them seem alien. I can see how each generation has a pair melded together which could have been a type of story. But then there are single people also, so I am left to wonder what the message of the picture is. Nice concept. Maybe reshoot with more space between the people or with some more front lighting.

Trafficby banmornComment: When I looked at this last night I thought you captured it on a piece of metal, but now I think you used one of those multi faceted filters. Whichever, I think you captured the jangled rush of traffic very well. I also like the limited color pallette. |

Polishing Diamondsby selectivememoryComment: The left leaning perspective gives this an additional tension. Technically well done. All the elements are there for a great shot, but, and I'm not saying this to justify lowering your score (7), I find it not as exciting as I wish it could be. Can't really tell you what lets the picture down. One guess might be the amount of repeating windows or the entirely white windows on the right. Sorry I can't be more helpful. |

A Lone Treeby ScantyNebulaComment: Viewed on a pc with ms ie.
Lovely clouds. The tonality range in the greens help give modeling to the various elements. The exposure is very good considering the difference between the lightness and darkness within the scene.
Composition. I think it could have been improved by getting closer to the subject. Most of the surrounding area is not interesting, so it isn't adding to the picture. By getting closer, you would have been able to cut out most of that and would be able to concentrate on the color, form and texture of the subject. I would have tried this with a vertical orientation. |

Every line has a storyby jmritzComment: Hmm. I guess you have to choose it as a favorite first, then leave a comment. It just deleted my original comment.
I had just gone on and on about how I like this and how it shows such a quiet strength. I also said something about the tonal range and the composition. All good things. I like it. |

tower-puddle.jpgby waterliliesComment: This is nice, an unusual portrait of a government building and the flag. The exposure is perfect too. Really a plesant picture to look at. |
